Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s Man Utd Still Unbeaten

    Ole Gunnar Unbeaten

Since taking over, the Red Devils have won an impressive 10 of 11 matches and are still unbeaten.

Manchester United’s tremendous run under Ole Gunnar Solskjaer continued on Saturday as they made it 10 wins in 11 in all competitions under the Norwegian caretaker.

United travelled to London’s Craven Cottage and out-played struggling Fulham winning the contest 3-0. Paul Pogba scored a brace while Anthony Martial netted an outstanding individual effort.

Saturday’s 3-0 win at Fulham saw the Norwegian record his eighth win in nine matches in the Premier League. Man Utd had a tally of seven victories during their early-season struggles under Portuguese coach Jose Mourinho. It has taken just two months for the 45-year-old to top his predecessor’s record for this season.

Ole Gunnar’s United have now climbed up to 4th place in the Premier League topping Chelsea by one point. Chelsea will play later on today against Manchester City.

The unbeaten run by the Red Devils under Solskjaer sparked many reactions on social media with many wondering whether the Norwegian will be offered a contract on a permanent basis.

Other posts were more focused on the funny side with one video showing the Norwegian manager pushing his way through rival Premier League coaches, reminiscing Richard Ashcroft in Bitter Sweet Symphony’s music video by The Verve.

Up next for the Red Devils in Champions League this week, is a much tougher test though. Ole Gunnar’s team will face Ligue 1 champions Paris Saint-German.

At the time of the CL draw in December, the French side were being considered as clear favourites. However, with the change in helm at Old Trafford and an unbeaten run of 11 since, the odds are now much closer.

United, with the home advantage, start as favourites to win the first leg at Old Trafford on Tuesday. Nevertheless PSG’s stronghold, which will be without Brazilian star Neymar, are still favourites to qualify for the next round of the competition when considering the contest will be played on two legs.

Undoubtedly the question on everyone’s mind now is “How long before Ole Gunnar’s Man Utd succumb to their first loss?”

Way back in December, when Solskjaer was appointed as interim coach, Loony was wondering whether the Norwegian still had his Super-Sub powers which he was so well-known for during his playing career.

And so far he has not been disappointed with Ole Gunnar’s impressive start, “Seems like he still got it, even as a manager. Kudos to you Super-Sub ????”
